Fees and Insurance

Please call me to discuss my current fee. I currently do not accept insurance, though depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to receive reimbursement for our sessions. I am happy to help support you with this process. I suggest calling your insurance company to inquire about your out-of-network benefits for mental health/psychiatry before our first meeting.

Cancellations

Your appointment time is reserved for you.  For cancellations or rescheduling, please contact me at least 2 full business days prior to your appointment, so that I have sufficient time to reschedule someone else who may be in need. For example, if your appointment is on Tuesday at 1pm, please call me no later than the previous Friday at 1pm to cancel. If you do not provide two business days notice, you will be responsible for the full session fee. Unfortunately, insurance companies do not reimburse for late cancellations. Emergencies are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Emergencies

If you experience what you believe is a psychiatric emergency, please call or go to your nearest emergency department.  You may also call Mobile Crisis (415.355.8300), Westside Crisis (415.353.5050), or 911.  Please note that I do not provide emergency psychiatric services, and I am not easily reachable after business hours or on weekends.  However, you are always welcome to leave a message, and I will return your call as soon as possible, usually within one business day.
